They would just like an easier / faster way to remove the courses from the students view and to give them their courses back when their bill is paid. Offering alternatives to auditory information helps more than just students with hearing disabilities and is a recommendation contained within the Universal Design for Learning framework (https://udlguidelines.cast.org/representation/perception/alternatives-auditory). Since it's been a few years since that discussion, i'd like to request we re-evaluate the feature to see if it's more accessible at this point. The hotspot features would allow users to edit videos and place clickable links to external urls or to other spots in the video. Implement a workflow UW System institutions to define rosters from UW-Madison to sync to Canvas so they may be used in collaborative programs. Making this change will allow campuses to better support its collaborative programs with UW-Madison, which currently include BSN@Home and Architecture. 	10	Additional Professional Captioning Vendor	We would like to have an additional option for professional captioning vendors within the Kaltura Reach service. The default vendor is unable to caption songs or full-length videos accurately, consistently, or clearly. Songs are rejected, which means they must be manually captioned by UW staff. I propose that an additional vendor, 3Play, be added to the list of vendor options for Kaltura Reach professional captions.	01-31-2023
	10	TA role and user management	Please change the following: 1. Update the TA role in all three instances so the functionality is the same. In the CE instance and TD instances, the TA role can add and remove users from a course. However, in the Instructional instance, that same role can't add or remove users. 2. Execute	100	Collaborative Program Admins	This would mean fewer steps for the Collaborative Program Admins when they are cross-listing courses for their program. There are currently seven people with the role of Collaborative Program Admin in the Instructional Instance. There aren't any people in that role in the other two instances. Collaborative Program Admins are able to view courses at all the institutions but in order for the Collaborative Program Admin to cross-list the various sections into course shells in the Collaborative Programs sub-account, they have to enroll themselves as a teacher in the sections for the course, cross-list the sections, and then remove themselves as a teacher from the sections. I propose that we add the permissions of Course Sections - edit and Courses - manage/update to the role of the Collaborative Program Admin. The granularity of Course Sections and Course permissions were added after our initial Canvas implementation so this option was not available to us before.	12-14-2023	08-10-2023
	-1	Enable Interactive Video Paths	While technically we can create video quizzes with Kaltura to make videos interactive, there is a known issue with video quizzes not sending scores to Canvas, so we cannot recommend that instructors use Kaltura’s video quiz functionality. Due to this issue, I have been researching other ways to add interactivity to our videos, and I found that Kaltura now has and Interactive Video Path functionality. 	100	Allow Act as User permission for Universities of Wisconsin DLE Admins	Allow Act as User permission for Universities of Wisconsin DLE Campus Admins (currently Jason and Karla) when attempting to identify and resolve Canvas user issues. Tracking would be required by opening a ticket using the dlesupport@support.wisconsin.edu or current ticketing procedure. We have had issues recently with 3rd party tools and Question Banks that have been shared by retired faculty. This change would allow DLE support staff to observe, identify, and help resolve DLE issues. DLE Support would not be allowed to make changes while using Act as User.	11-16-2023

UWM's highly decentralized administrative structure limits the ability to centrally manage account calendars, which are likely to be a positive communication vector for student success at the program and department level, as well as the university level. 	10	Add speed control feature to Mediaspace webcast player.	We have been working to share best practices on video creation with our instructors, which has included the use of chapters within a longer Kaltura video. It seems that when a video with chapters is shared with a URL link, there is a need to use a specific player, Mediaspace webcast player. The player includes the chapters, CC options, and the option for full-screen viewing; however, it does not include the ability to control the speed of the video playback. We would like to request that this feature be added to this flavor as a way to allow the viewer control over the speed at which the video is played.	01-31-2024
